Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What's the difference between Quiz Bowl mode and Reaction mode?

A: In Quiz Bowl mode, the buzzers are open as soon as they're cleared by the host. Players can interrupt the question with their buzz. The first buzzer is the winner. In Reaction mode, when the host resets the buzzers, they turn yellow while the question is in progress. The host activates them at the end of the question, just like on a television game show. In Reaction mode, the system measures a player's reaction time to determine the winner.

Q: How does the system determine the winner in Reaction mode?

A: Game Night Buzzer uses the system time onyour computer when your buzzer is activated, and compares it to the system time when you actually buzz in. That time difference is measured in milliseconds and sent back to the host. The fastest reaction time wins.
